 Fatima Miranda ( Spain )  Fátima Miranda was born in Salamanca and lives in Madrid. After finishing her degree in Arts, she specialized in Contemporary Art and published two books about architecture and urbanism. From 1983, she has been developing several investigations about the voice and vocal music within traditional music and this has led her to use her voice, not only singing and talking but also turning her body into an instrument of wind and of percussion. With a highly ecclectic formation that equally includes opera and the Indian Dhrupad, Fátima Miranda is, today, “the voice” of new Spanish music. [back] |
