„I want to create borders“
Composer Dror Feiler from Sweden/Israel wants to create borders with his music in order to move something. Together with Irani director Hamed Taheri he invents a music theatre of extremes. At the focal point there is the story of the actors. All four of them are migrants from Afghanistan, Ghana, Chile and Iran, whose individual and often adventurous lives have brought them to Stuttgart. It is about cultural roots, about each participant’s recollection of home and about our cultural memory. And it is about the uniqueness of each individual. All 30 fragments of the music theatre will be performed for one viewer only: this is the most extreme, most intense and most touching form of reception. An immensely political and deeply overwhelming piece by two artists bound by their artistic motivation: the longing for a just, free, human world.
Avenir! Avenir! by Hamed Taheri (director) and Dror Feiler (music) Presentations from 19th to 23rd July 2006 on the premises of Klett Verlag, Rotebühlstraße 77, Stuttgart-West. Personal registration on +49 711 62 90 510.
