Young artists from all cultures in the world are setting out to discover the world for themselves and to take their own individual position. The diversity and variety of different musical cultures can be experienced in Stuttgart this July.
The ISCM World New Music Festival, one of the largest musical events worldwide, is taking place in Stuttgart for the first time. Musik der Jahrhunderte has invited artists from more than 60 countries around the globe to create an extensive programme full of concerts, music theatres, performances, installations as well as conferences and mediation activities.
The ISCM World New Music Festival is the official festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) [>>]. The Festival is initiated every year by one of the 50 national members of the ISCM. It has last been staged in Germany in 1995. With a worldwide reputation, it is the largest festival of modern music and presents the latest artistic projects and technologies in contemporary music. In 2006, the event is being organized by Musik der Jahrhunderte in collaboration with the German Society for Contemporary Music [>>].
